Optical Care
Over the past ten years we have had four American optometrists to have participated in our Medical Missions and to have sponsored ongoing efforts to provide optical care (both prescription eye- glasses and reading glasses) to the people of Zambia (mostly those in rural villages). In fact, Daybreak now has the necessary equipment to read prescription eyeglasses and has an inventory of several thousand eye-glasses (prescription and reading glases). This is part of a program by which donated eyeglasses from the USA are shipped to Zambia (Daybreak) where they can be distributed.
Posted on this page are several pictures from our Optical care programs. Pictured to the right and below are the four American optometrists during their visits to Zambia.
